Metal Roof Restoration

What is metal roof restoration?

A complete waterproofing system for metal roofs that inhibits rust, stops leaks, and provides an energy-efficient, long-lasting, and attractive finish coat for years of service. All seams are strengthened with fabric reinforcement embedded into our acrylic elastomeric roof coating. Exposed fasteners are sealed from the elements with premium caulking. The entire roof surface is protected with one of Conklin’s industry-leading roof coatings. The system is an effective method for preserving an existing metal roof without the need for costly metal repair or replacement.

Full Fabric Restoration

What is Fabric-Reinforced Roofing?

A unique system that waterproofs with a seamless acrylic coating in which a tough, flexible fabric is embedded. This combination makes a rugged, yet lightweight membrane that resists splitting and rupturing—the primary cause of leaks. This system also substantially increases the strength of your roof, extends its life expectancy, and increases the energy efficiency of the building.

Conklin Fabric-Reinforced System Application

Conklin’s Fabric-Reinforced Roofing System is extremely versatile and can be applied to many different roof substrates.

The application procedure will vary depending upon the type of substrate; refer to specification guides or to a contractor well-versed in Conklin’s Fabric-Reinforced System.

Recommended for application over these surfaces:

  • EPDM/BUR/Mod-Bit/PVC/TPO
  • Exterior Sheeting
  • Concrete
  • Composite Decking
  • ISO Board
  • Metal Roof Assemblies
  • Membrane Coatings

Membrane Coating System

What is the Membrane Coating System?

A complete waterproofing system that can improve and extend the life of an existing membrane roof. As TPO, EPDM, and other membranes become weathered, rooftops can crack, leak, and pick up dirt, diminishing their effectiveness and energy-saving properties. Conklin’s elastomeric coatings provide a new, cost-effective solution for repairing and preserving approved single-ply membrane roofs, resulting in improved energy-savings.

Conklin Membrane Coating System application

  1. Power wash and clean with WAC II™ roof cleaner.
  2. Prime surface with Tack Coat™ primer
  3. Reinforce seams with Spunflex® embedded in Rapid Roof III® Base Coat or Equinox® Base Coat.
  4. Seal the entire roof with Rapid Roof III® Top Coat or Equinox® Top Coat.

Single Ply Membranes

What are the Conklin Single-Ply Membrane Systems?

Premium polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) membrane systems that offer outstanding reflectivity and are resistant to a broad range of chemicals, helping to extend the life of the commercial roof. During installation, single-ply membrane rolls are overlapped and heat welded together along with mechanically fastening or fully adhering with adhesive to form an exceptionally durable, waterproof, and energy-efficient shield that will deliver unsurpassed building protection for years to come.

Professional application of a Conklin Single-Ply Membrane System

  1. Remove all loose dirt and debris and install boardstock.
  2. Apply membrane, overlapping seams in the direction of water run-off.
  3. Weld seams by hand or with a robotic welder.
  4. Seal free edges of membrane with 360-S® urethane sealant.
